During the final weekend of April, Prep hosted Prom 2024. Upperclassmen and their dates flocked to the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel to join in various festivities.
Games of poker, blackjack, and craps attracted guests with the promise of unknown goodies and prizes. Each attendee had a starting balance of chips, and players could exchange their winnings for numerous goodies and prizes.
In addition to the chips, each prom guest got another shot at these prizes, such as gift cards, speakers, headphones, and even a TV from raffle tickets.
Tommy Brown kicked the night off by doing a backflip on the dance floor. He was followed by Johnny Crowley, who sang a stirring rendition of “All of Me” that would have brought tears to John Legend’s eyes. (Johnny, we will miss your singing next year!) Matt Duke and Michael Purring featured as DJs, and then the student band ended the night with dazzling live music.
The dance concluded promptly at 10:30 when all the exhausted partiers immediately went home to sleep.
Special thanks to the administration and all the faculty who chaperoned!
