Why have you seen so many strollers on campus recently? Well, we have an answer for you. This is due to Prep’s recent baby boom. You may even see Easton Whalen, son of Mr. Whalen, help coach freshman football on the Chapel field. Over the last year and a half, a myriad of babies have been born in the Prep faculty community. This new gen- eration is bringing a young feel to the Prep, with several youngsters living on campus. Faculty have lived on campus for numerous years, but there has never been so many fam- ilies living on campus. Prep’s new familial atmosphere is giving dorm students a second family, especially during the early weeks of the school year.
The Latin and Science departments lead the way in newborns, with three each. The Latin department consists of Maria Keuning, Dylan Dybicz, and Casey Danver. Then, Isabelle Bradley, Thomas Fenfert, and Olivia Lilja comprise the Science department. The tight-knit math department had two newborns, Eason Whalen and Rovan Lutz, the son of Ms. Huang. Mr. Eskow and Mr. Furnary introduced two new babies to the dorms, with their daughters, Arya Eskow and April Furnary. Other faculty members were added to the Prep community, includ- ing Grace Patterson, Bridey Zullo, Henry Lapp, and Leo Glennon.
Hopefully, this new parental wisdom may lead to less homework for us students.
