As Georgetown Prep’s Class of 2024 prepares to don their caps and gowns, they are also gearing up for an exciting transition to a diverse array of colleges that spans the North American continent, from the familiar landscapes of the United States to as far as Mexico and Canada.
Much like last year, the majority of this year’s seniors have opted to stay within the comfort of the Eastern U.S., a testament to the region’s rich array of prestigious educational institutions.
However, this trend is accompanied by an intriguing surge in interest toward the West Coast and the Southern U.S. California, often celebrated for its innovative spirit and vibrant campuses, has seen its numbers quadruple from last year—from two to eight students. Similarly, Texas has tripled its allure, drawing six students compared to last year’s two.
On the other hand, Massachusetts, a stalwart in academic excellence, has seen a shift in its numbers in the reverse. While last year it welcomed sixteen of our graduates, this year it will be home to eight.
Entries not seen on last year’s college destination map include South Dakota, Tennessee, and Georgia. Each location opens new avenues for experiences and growth that will undoubtedly enrich the lives of our students.
In conclusion, the geographic diversity of this year’s college destinations reflects the broadening horizons of Georgetown Prep’s graduates. As they step into futures filled with promise and opportunity, The Little Hoya extends its heartiest congratulations and best wishes for success in their academic and personal journeys ahead.
Dear Caden,
Over the past three years, I’ve been blessed to go to the same school as you and I couldn’t be more grateful for it. As I entered high school, you not only served as a great older brother and friend, but also as a mentor, who was with me through my greatest struggles and triumphs. I’ve been told countless times by a variety of people that seeing brothers as close as you and I is so rare yet so precious. You’ve accomplished great things throughout your time at home that have made me so proud to be your younger brother. With all the great memories we’ve made it’s going to take lots of getting used to not seeing you on a daily basis. I wish you the best, knowing you’ll have lots of fun while making great achievements in your college years.
Love,
Chase

Ray,
Luckily, my freshmen year was able to overlap with your senior year. From September to now, you have always been there, looking out for me and giving me all the best advice you can. You were never bossy but tried to give tips on what classes to take, how to make friends, and how to enjoy Prep. I have loved our time together and will really miss you next year. This past year is one I will never forget. Godspeed, Raymond, and may He be with you all the way.

Jesse,
I want to thank you for how you have guided me when it came to academics, sports, and finding my place in the community during our time at Prep. When I first got here I knew little about the school and you are responsible for instilling Prep values within me. Now, as you move towards the next step on your journey I hope that you achieve all that you set out to do. Thank you for all you have done for me and the Prep community.

Dear Goap,
I want to start off by saying congratulations. There is nothing I could be more proud of than to see my big bro graduating. Watching you right now is like witnessing the culmination of all your hard work and dedication. You’ve set the bar very high for me, but at least I know I can look up to you for anything. I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you from here. So until then, you’ll always have my and many others’ support.
Love,
Chum

Dear Austin,
After looking back through the first day of school photos from kindergarten, I have come to realize how fast time flies. It is so hard to believe that you are already graduating. I have always looked up to you and tried to walk right in your footsteps. It will definitely be weird next year when I open your door to bother you, and you won’t be there. It has been such an incredible experience getting to grow up with you, and I am so excited to see where your path takes you.
